Hi, I am Audra!

I am a freelance journalist, working to highlight the stories that drive human rights and social justice in our society. I believe that words hold power, and it is up to all of us to use them in ways that facilitate change.

I have always been interested in global affairs, and in 2022, I graduated from St. Francis Xavier University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History. My studies focused on international justice, particularly the political and historical context of the Middle East. In my fourth year, I had the opportunity to intern with the International Criminal Court in Den Haag, Netherlands. It was this experience that solidified my decision to pursue a career centered on human rights and social justice.

In September 2023, I enrolled in Conestoga College's Diploma of Journalism program to refine my storytelling skills and amplify the voices of those often overlooked. During the summer of 2024, I interned with Breach Media, where I had the opportunity to assist in their social media management and editorial processes.

I chose journalism to be close to people. It might not be easy to change the reality, but at least I could bring their voice to the world.
